The work of Federico and Co. in combating child trafficking can encompass a range of activities and initiatives aimed at prevention, intervention, and support for survivors. Here are some potential areas of focus:
Prevention Programs
Educate communities, empower individuals, and promote proactive measures to prevent child trafficking and exploitation.
Intervention Strategies
Identify, rescue, and support victims; disrupt trafficking networks; and prosecute perpetrators through coordinated response efforts.
Survivor Support Services
Offer comprehensive support services to survivors, including housing, medical care, counseling, legal assistance, education, and job training.
Advocacy and Policy Reform
Advocate for stronger laws and policies to protect children, improve enforcement, and hold traffickers accountable at all levels.

Our Process
We believe that no childhood should involve exploitation. Here’s how we’re putting that belief into action with your help.
Prevention
We work to prevent exploitation by addressing the root causes in each context. In Canada, this looks like creating educational resources for youth to learn about topics like cyber safety and healthy relationships. In Nepal and Cambodia, this looks like supporting impoverished communities with school tuition and food.
Intervention
While we do not provide intervention services, we do collaborate with various agencies to receive children into our long-term care programs. Our social work team also attends court dates with the survivors in our care to support them as they testify against their abusers.
Restoration
We work with local partners to provide safe housing, education and long-term aftercare to children rescued from exploitation and abuse. Our teams in Nepal and Cambodia are currently helping more than 200 children heal from trauma and grow in self-worth.
Reintegration
When survivors are ready, our team supports their reintegration journey through transitional housing, post-secondary education and job training. Our team stands firmly by their side as they build the free and independent future they’ve been dreaming of.
